# Sign In

Drive Downloader runs in your browser. There is nothing to install.

## How to sign in

1. Open [drive-tools.8apps.co](https://drive-tools.8apps.co).
2. Click **Sign in with Google** and choose the account whose files you want to export.
3. Review the permissions Google shows and click **Allow**.

You land on **New export**, ready to choose what to export.

## What Drive Downloader can access

Drive Downloader asks for **read-only** access to your Google Drive. It reads only the files you choose to export and never moves, edits or deletes anything in your Drive.

:::note
The account you sign in with is always the one files are exported **from**. To copy files **into** a different account, link it on the [Integrations](/docs/drive-downloader/using-drive-downloader/integrations) page.

## Signing out or disconnecting

- **Sign out** from the menu ends your session.
- **Settings › Disconnect** revokes Drive Downloader's access at Google and signs you out. Running exports fail. You can sign in again at any time.
