# View Permissions

Each type of file and permission level comes with its own risk profile. Review them carefully.

Customise your scan results using permission filters:

- **External Shares:** Show only files shared outside your organisation.

  - Columns to review: User Email, Domain, Access Type
  - Use this to spot unintentional or expired collaborations

- **Publicly Shared Files:** Focus on publicly accessible files.

  - Columns to review: Access Type = Editor, Viewer
  - High Risk: Anyone can view or edit without authentication

- **Internal Shares:** Restrict results to internal (domain) shares.
  - Safer, but still review for overly broad access (e.g., “Anyone in the org can edit”)

:::tip
Use filters to quickly find risky files that need attention.
