Run Task

The last step in the task is to ‘Save and Extract, and the Contact Extractor add-on will automatically extract the matching email addresses and attachments from Gmail to your Google sheet.

There are two options for running the tasks- manual or automatic.

  • For One time Run: Click on the ‘Save and Extract’ option, and the add-on will run once.
  • For Scheduled Run: Click on ‘Run in Background’ and the add-on will function like a scheduled task at hourly intervals. Matching emails are processed, and addresses are automatically extracted without any manual triggers.

Congratulations! Your Contact Extractor is now fully active!


Once the emails are processed, close the add-on dialog box. You will notice two sheets:

  • The first sheet contains the list of all the unique email addresses that have been extracted.
  • The other sheet contains the complete details of the emails, including the date, direct link to the mail, and the message fields from which email addresses have been pulled.
