Finding Overlap Between Asia and the US
Working with teams in Singapore, Tokyo, or Sydney from the US is challenging โ there's often zero standard-hours overlap. Here's what to do.
Scheduling Tips
PST and SGT are 16 hours apart โ there is no standard working-hours overlap.
One approach: the US team takes an early-morning call (7 am PST = 11 pm SGT on the same day).
Alternatively, SGT team joins late (9 pm SGT = 6 am PST).
Consider recording the meeting and doing async follow-ups to avoid anyone regularly working outside hours.
New York to Singapore has a 13-hour gap โ slightly better: 8โ9 am ET = 9โ10 pm SGT.
