Scheduling Meetings Across US and India
Remote teams spanning the US East or West Coast and India face an 8.5–13.5 hour gap. This guide shows the narrow overlap window and how to make it work.

Scheduling Tips
1
The best overlap for EST↔IST is 8:30–10:00 am EST (6:30–8:00 pm Mumbai).
2
For PST↔IST, the only working-hours overlap is 7:30–9:30 am PST (9–11 pm Mumbai) — very early for the US or very late for India.
3
Consider rotating the "painful" slot so no team always takes the late call.
4
Use the Async-first approach: record meetings and use Loom or Slack video for non-urgent updates.
Use the Color-Coded Planner to Find Your Window
The Timezone Meeting Planner shows a visual 24-hour grid where each hour is color-coded:
9 am – 6 pm local time. The ideal window for meetings. 7–9 am and 6–10 pm. Possible but not ideal. Outside working hours or weekends. Avoid unless necessary.
