Scheduling Between Europe and Asia-Pacific

European and APAC teams face a significant but navigable gap. London↔Singapore is 8 hours; London↔Tokyo is 9 hours. Early European mornings and late APAC afternoons are the key.

Scheduling Tips

1

London (GMT) and Singapore (SGT, UTC+8) are 8 hours apart — 9 am London = 5 pm Singapore. A narrow overlap window exists 9 am–noon GMT.

2

Berlin (CET, UTC+1) and Singapore are 7 hours apart in winter — 9 am CET = 4 pm SGT. Slightly easier.

3

Tokyo (JST, UTC+9) and London are 9 hours apart — the overlap window is even narrower: 8–10 am GMT = 5–7 pm JST.

4

Sydney (AEST, UTC+10) and London are 10–11 hours apart. 7–8 am GMT = 5–6 pm AEST is the only workable slot.

5

None of the APAC cities observe DST, but Europe does — the gap narrows by 1 hour during European summer time.

6

For regular syncs, alternating early-morning Europe and late-afternoon APAC is the most respectful of both sides.

Use the Color-Coded Planner to Find Your Window

The Timezone Meeting Planner shows a visual 24-hour grid where each hour is color-coded:

9 am – 6 pm local time. The ideal window for meetings. 7–9 am and 6–10 pm. Possible but not ideal. Outside working hours or weekends. Avoid unless necessary.
